First Visit

How can I prepare for my child for their first visit?

Let your child know that they will be going to see a dentist. Please do not lie to your child or use the dental visit as a form of punishment. We strive to make this a pleasant experience for your child.

Have your child practice  opening their mouth and counting their teeth from 1 to 10.

We will ask you to fill out a detailed account of your child's medical history. If your child is taking any medication, please come to the office with the names and dosage of the medication.

If you would like to speed up this process, please print out the medical history questionnaire and bring this to the appointment.

What will happen on your child’s first visit?

Our appointment will consist of three parts:

  • Counting your child’s teeth

  • Radiographs (X-Rays) to be taken (if possible)

  • Treatment plan presentation:
    What needs to be done
How we go about fixing your child’s teeth
